ABOUT DIFFICULTY
The level of difficulty of our expeditions is based on three factors present in any expedition:
- Physical effort;
- Autonomy;
- Isolation.
So we have:
Physical effort
Easy – from 2h to 6h of daily physical activity
Intermediate – from 6 am to 8 am daily physical activity
Difficult – above 8h of daily physical activity
Autonomy
Easy – dispatch with external support throughout the program
Intermediate – expedition with a few days in full autonomy
Difficult – expedition in full autonomy
Isolation
Easy – expedition in contact with civilization throughout the program
Intermediate – expedition with a few days without contact with civilization
Difficult – expedition without any contact with civilization
ABOUT STYLE
With regard to the style of our expeditions, there are three defining characteristics.
Although these characteristics are always present in all expeditions, there is always one or another that stands out in comparison to the others. These characteristics are:
- Cultural Immersion;
- Adventure;
- Wildlife.
Thus we have:
Cultural immersion
Low – little contact with local or non-Western culture
Medium – some contact with local culture or with cultures different from the western one
Intense – expedition specially designed to explore, to know and to live in loco with other cultures, indigenous tribes, nomad tribes or ancient civilizations. Great contact with the local culture or with cultures different from the occidental one.
Adventure
Low – low participation in activities outside the comfort zone and little possibility of unexpected events occurring
Medium – some participation in activities outside the comfort zone and some possibility of unexpected events
Intense – expedition specially designed to explore remote regions through unusual means of progression, outside the comfort zone and with great possibility of unexpected events
Wildlife
Low – low probability of wildlife encounters
Medium – some probability of wildlife encounters
Intense – specially designed expedition to explore and learn about biodiversity and wildlife. Wildlife encounters are inevitable.
